Kodandarama
Ragam "Bahudhari" is little bit nearer to "Thilang". Both ragas probably derived from the famous Melakartha Ragam "Harikambhoji". Bahudhari has Chathusruthi daivatham in it's arohana. Thilang doesn't have it. Moorchana for Bahudhari is
'S G M P D N S'
'S N P M G S'
The Moorchana for Thilang is
'S G M P N S'
'S N P M G S'
I like the Thyagaraja keertana "Brovabharama" which is made in this raagam. Hope the lyrics and the following song came good.

"Lalithapriyakamalam virisinadi"
Fabulous lyrics, wonderful raagam. Taking the melody of the ragams in Carnatic Music
into film songs is the speciality of maestro Ilayaraaja. Sounding almost like Mayamalava gowla, "Lalitha" is one of the famous raagas. "Lalitha Priyakamalam" is my favorite song. I hope you are all also like this song. I tried to make a small song in this raaga. Here is this. By the way, the above song is from the film "Rudraveena", one of famous Chiru's films.

Sree durge
"Revati" ragam is very beautiful especially for deep and gloomy feeling songs. The
"Annamacharya kruthi", nanati batuku sung by legend Smt.M.S.Subba Lakshmi is unforgettable. "Mahadeva Siva Sambho" by Mutthayya Bhagavathar is sung by sri Nityasree which I listened from Musicindiaonline.com is excellent. I tried to compose a song on "Shakthi Swaroopini" Durga in this raaga. Please try to listen and
let me know your opinion on this.

Nandathanaya
"Nandathanaya" means the son of Nanda. The beautiful qualities of Krishna are unlimited. We can't even describe them. I feel very happy rendering atleast some names (namas) of Lord Sri Krishna in Ragam "Bilahari", which is derived from famous Melakartha "Sankarabharanam". Bilahari is used in many film songs. Famous actor Dr.Gemini Ganeshan acted fabulously in film "Rudraveena" as Bilahari Ganapathi Sastry. The song "Neethone agena sangeetham" with the subject of Bilahari is a superhit song. Though it is a small song, I hope everybody will enjoy it.

"Hamsanandhi" is a very beautiful ragam. This is derived from the famous prathimadhyama melakartha ragam "Gamanasrama". I like the song "Vedam, anuvanuvuna nadam"from the film "Saagarasangamam" which was composed in the same raaga by Maestro Ilayaraja. I like the kruthi "Srinivasa tiruvenkata" which I listened from musicindiaonline in this raaga. It was so beautiful. For this song, lyrics were given by somebody else. And I composed the tune for those lyrics. I hope you will enjoy listening to this song.
This is composed in Ragam "Saraswati" derived from Melakartaragam "Vachaspathi"/ There were so many kruthis in this ragam. I like the thyagaraja kruthi "Anuragamule"
in this ragam. I also like the song "Sree Saradamba Namosthuthe" in the film "Sruthilayalu". I once happened to listen the ragalapana in this ragam by Smt.Nithyasree in Musicindiaonline.com. She rendered the importance of prathimadhyama in her ragalapana very beautifully. I hope you all will also enjoy this song.

I want to present some songs which are made in my favorite ragas by my own. I want to start with Lord Ganesha, the remover of all obstacles. Now, the following song is made in Ragam, Amritha Varshini which is very famous. Long back, while one musician sang this raga, rain came. I was inspired by the song "Kurisenu virijallule" from the film "Gharshana"(1988) which was composed by Maestro Ilayaraja which was done in the same ragam.

My favorite sites
My favorite sites are Musicindiaonline.com and raaga.com. I learned a lot of kruthis and improved my knowledge in ragalapans and swarakalpanas by regualrly visiting Musicindiaonline.com. Raaga.com is also a wonderful site for improving the knowledge of carnatic music. I learned some annamayya keertanas also from musicindiaonline.com. Raaga.com is also having some of those annamayya kruthis. More over, I tried to make some small songs in my favorite ragas on my own.
I recommend those sites to anyone who wants to improve and learn new carnatic music songs.
These sites also have good recent songs such as movie songs and popular albums. It is considered the one stop to all Indian Music including carnatic music.
