"Revati" ragam is very beautiful especially for deep and gloomy feeling songs. The
"Annamacharya kruthi", nanati batuku sung by legend Smt.M.S.Subba Lakshmi is unforgettable. "Mahadeva Siva Sambho" by Mutthayya Bhagavathar is sung by sri Nityasree which I listened from Musicindiaonline.com is excellent. I tried to compose a song on "Shakthi Swaroopini" Durga in this raaga. Please try to listen and
let me know your opinion on this.
About Me
- Sudha
- Hello everybody, this is Sudha here. I am one of the lovers of music. I want to share my enjoyment with all of you. I am the student of Smt.L.Savithri and I did my Diploma in Carnatic Music through Ghantasala Music & Dance College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh with the help of my Guru Vidwan Pemmaraju Surya Rao garu. After I received my Diploma, I continued to develop upon my interest by teaching basic Sanghitham classes to kids and adults. I also participated at cultural events and showcased my appreciation of carnatic music by singing occasionally. For example, I participated in cultural event at Hindu Temple of Florida at Tampa, US. I am also one of the organizers of Annamayya Group of Tampa Bay who had been celebrating both Jayanthi and Vardhanthi of Annamayya for the past 3 years. We performed Sankeertana Yagnam of Annamayya(A tribute of 108 Keertanas for Annamacharya) on May 16th, 2009 in the temple of Sai Baba (Inverness). Recently, I have participated in a fundraising event called Chitram conducted at Hindu Temple at Tampa.
